5-Day Live Coral & Fish Guarantee

At Corals Depot, we stand behind the health of every coral and fish we ship.
Retail customers receive a full 7-Day Live Guarantee, while wholesale accounts receive a DOA-only guarantee, which is standard across the industry.

🌿 Retail Customers — Full 5-Day Live Guarantee

We offer a 5-Day Guarantee on all eligible corals and fish.

If your coral or fish dies within 5 days of delivery, you will receive a store credit equal to the livestock purchase price.

What This Covers

Corals

✔ Full tissue loss within 5 days
✔ Failure to survive acclimation under proper conditions

Fish

✔ Death within 5 days
✔ Fish arriving stressed and declining despite appropriate care

What Is NOT Covered

Corals

✘ Color loss
✘ Minor tissue recession
✘ Damage caused by pests or tank aggression
✘ Corals cut or fragged after arrival

Fish

✘ Jumpers (fish that jump out of the tank)
✘ Fish killed by tank aggression
✘ Ich, velvet, or disease outbreaks in buyer’s system
✘ Improper acclimation or salinity shock
✘ Fish placed into a tank smaller than recommended

General Exclusions

✘ Shipping fees
✘ Delays caused by UPS/airline
✘ Missed delivery attempt
✘ Incorrect shipping address

⚠️ Requirements to Qualify (Retail)

To keep your guarantee active, you must:

1. Be present at delivery

Missed or late pickups void the guarantee.

2. Send photos/videos on Day 1

  • Coral/fish in your tank on arrival day

  • Clear bag photos for fish

3. Provide proof of loss

  • Clear videos/photos of coral recession or fish death

  • Must be sent within 5 days of UPS marking “delivered.”

4. Maintain reasonable water parameters

We may request:

  • Temp

  • Salinity

  • Alk

  • Nitrates

  • Ammonia (for fish)

Wholesale coral and fish orders are covered by DOA only (bag-in-bag photos required).

Wholesale DOA Rules

✔ DOA must be reported within 2 hours of delivery
✔ Clear photos/video of the exact corals required
✔ Credit for coral/fish value only (no shipping credit)

Wholesale Exclusions

✘ No 75-day guarantee
✘ No coverage for stress, ich, aggression, or parameter shock
✘ No replacements for carrier delays
