Lobos (Lobophyllia Corals) – Vibrant, Hardy, and Full of Personality
Lobophyllia—commonly known as Lobos—are among the most eye-catching large-polyp stony (LPS) corals available in the reef aquarium hobby. Known for their bold colors, fleshy appearance, and dynamic shapes, Lobos bring movement and visual depth to both beginner and advanced reef setups. At Corals Depot, we offer a hand-selected collection of premium Lobophyllia specimens chosen for exceptional coloration, health, and long-term growth potential.
Lobos are prized for their intense reds, greens, purples, oranges, and multi-color morphs, often appearing almost neon under reef lighting. Their thick, meaty polyps gently inflate and sway with water flow, making them a standout feature in any aquascape. These corals are also relatively hardy, adapting well to a wide range of lighting and flow conditions, which makes them perfect for hobbyists looking for a stunning centerpiece without demanding care requirements.
With proper placement and occasional feeding of meaty foods or LPS-targeted coral nutrition, Lobos grow steadily and display even deeper coloration over time. Whether you're building a vibrant LPS garden or looking for a signature showpiece, Lobophyllia corals add unmatched character and richness to your reef.
